Siân's Story

I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a camera in my hand. From the disposable cameras, point and shoots, DLSR, mirrorless and mobile phone cameras – there is always at least one with me, wherever I go.

I don’t know who I am without photography, because it is me, in every sense.

It’s how I see, how I feel, how I remember; how I cross that barrier from feeling like an outsider, into a moment that makes me feel centred and like I belong.

I started out in weddings and live events before moving on to beauty, fashion and portraits (www.sianelizabeth.co.uk) and although I still love this too, my heart always seemed to belong to the natural world.

The only time I ever have patience is when I am watching and photographing wildlife.

I can (and have) sat outside for hours (in awful conditions!) to try and capture that perfect picture. But more than that, it makes me appreciate all the little details in life that we otherwise might miss.

I have my M.E diagnosis to thank for being forced to slow down but there are no regrets –

I am now in my happy place – In The Wild.
